Miss Phillips, who is engaged to be married to Mike Tindall, the England rugby centre, is in relaxed casual clothing in keeping with her image as one of the more down-to-earth members of the Royal family.

Wearing faded blue jeans and a black fleece top, she stands with arms folded and legs crossed against the cut ends of a pile of felled timber. Her black Labrador, Storm, poses with her.

Miss Phillips is the granddaughter of the Queen. She is also an expert rider, competing in equestrianism to world level.

She is patron of several charities, many linked to the worlds of horse racing and eventing, and has designed her own clothing range.

She lives with Mr Tindall at their home in Gloucestershire. They are due to marry on July 30 in Edinburgh. Theirs will be the second Royal wedding of the year.
